Helping Kids Protect The Ocean Every Day

Wipeout Plastic offers grants to Maui County Grade Schools who are looking to increase their environmental sustainability, and provide upgraded facilities for their students.  Grants are used to fund the installation of 2 -3 water bottle filling stations on campus, with recipient schools having their choice of make and model which best suits their school’s unique needs.  If you are interested in being considered for a Wipeout Plastic Grant please submit a completed copy of the application below.

Grant Details:

Amount: $10,000 per grant

Funds may be used for: Purchase of water bottle fill stations and/or water bottle fill station-drinking fountain combination units.  Funds are also intended for the installation cost of the units.  Other appropriate use for the funds are for a stock of replacement water filters for the purchased and installed systems.

Awardees Must:  Identify ways the school will work to minimize disposable plastic bottle usage on campus, and how the school will work to educate students about the importance of using reusable water bottles as a way to protect our ocean.
